but how would those explain a heated intake runner? Actually, if there is something keeping pressure on the rocker arm then the valve will remain open a little bit.

I would check the #4 rocker...

I would say your best bet is to yank the intake...

I would say your best bet is to yank the intake mani. That way you can see if there is any discoloration in the intake port. If 4 is alot darker than the rest then that could explain it right there.

Wouldn't an increase in heat possibly be related to running lean? Could you have a clogged injector on that side or possibily a fuel pressure problem?

Ok, so as you probably know Im dropping an LS1 into a 95 RX7. Well, the exhaust setups dont exactly mate up to each other (end understatement).

So, I need an exhaust shop to fab one up to the FD...

I didnt have any problems with my front cover...

I didnt have any problems with my front cover install with the SLP double row chain and lingenfelter pump... The double row comes with two spacers for the oil pump and that was it.
