Your experience is why I recommend against new diesels. Sucks tuning is non-existent, it’s the only way to feasibly own a new diesel especially with short commutes.

Anywhere the shoe contacts the backing plate and the pivot point opposite the wheel cylinder. Usually you can see where the paint has worn on the backing plate, just a dap of grease there.

What if you had a micro switch on the throttle body that depressed at WOT and fed a relay that completed the brake pedal switch circuit? I can sketch it out if you are interested.
