Sorry to mention this is a cast aluminium pan....

Sorry to mention this is a cast aluminium pan. Although I did follow the torque specs this time around.

Leaking trans pan

I had my trans rebuilt by performabuilt awhile back and the trans pan started to leak recently. I had a spare lying around so I installed it instead of trying to play iron smith. Lasted about a week...

OK, a little follow up on the strange rear...

OK, a little follow up on the strange rear install. I believe I found my noise issue the driveshaft safety loop was hitting the torque arm. I just had to elongate some of the holes on the safety loop...

I took the car out for a ride tonight and noticed...

I took the car out for a ride tonight and noticed the noise seemed to have gotten much quieter almost non existent. Maybe it's part of the break in process. I guess that's where they got their name...

Problems with Strange 12 bolt

So I got the 12 bolt installed along with the driveshaft balanced and 1350 joint installed. A couple issues, the panhard bar bracket had one hole that was undersized quite a bit so I had to drill it...

No, kept the stock 12mm studs. Dropped the driveshaft off today at Mr. driveshaft to get the 3150 joint pressed in. Should have everything back together tomorrow.

Strange is the break in procedure, drive for 50 miles let cool down for 1/2 an hour and repeat 5 more times. Who figures this stuff out? Anyone else follow this procedure?

I had an issue with the Founders torque arm...

I had an issue with the Founders torque arm bracket, it did not have enough clearance for the bolt holes to line up so I removed about an 1/8 inch of material from the outer edge, top and bottom.

I purchased the 12 bolt with the same 3:42's...

I purchased the 12 bolt with the same 3:42's gears in a Yukon carrier. Upgraded to the aluminium cover but decided to skip the powder coating to save some cash....

I agree do gas filter first. If not the filter hook up a fuel pressure gauge outside your windshield, if pressure drops at 4k its your fuel system if pressure is good it's in the ignition system.
