My friend has something like that on his WRX. Without that "plug" that car is a Japanese paperweight, it doesn't do anything. And apparently the only way around it is to disconnect all the wiring...

So I've never done any welding on a car before. What do I have to do so I don't melt all my wires or burn up the ECU? Do I just have to disconnect the battery?

Awesome man! Don;t you just love it when you get your car back from the shop . I just got mine back today, new tie rods and axle seals. Drives like she's on rails now.

Does anybody know if there is an A/c delete pulley available for sbc? The only one I can find is for a 5.0 ford.
