I got lucky, too, since all 4 of my teeth had come through the gums. Only one was at a weird angle. The surgeon had to crack the tooth in half, and take the pieces out. the other ones, he was just able to pull out. You're probably squirming right now, but you'll be knocked out during the process so you have nothing to worry about.
