I can read what you type when you take shortcuts, but it takes longer. And I"m not saying this because *I* am inconvienced. Something you'll realize after HS is that you'll do a lot of conversing through text, whether it's papers, emails, memos, professional letters, IMs, etc...you can't take the short cuts in those (well, as far as the professional stuff goes). It's better to quit the habit now than to try in 2 years or 10 when you're in a professinoal position.

I'm not trying to say this in a "higher than thou" attitude. I'm saying it in a "Been there done that" attitude. It takes a lot of effort to curtail it. But you know what, you read as though you are more intelligent when you type "normally" than if you took short cuts. If I didn't know you were 16, I would think you were at least 18, if not older, by the way you type (when you type it out).
