I was thinking about this same thing myself a lil while ago.....I figured that the yellow is probably better.
The reason i figured that is cuz the reason that true dual exhausts make more power is not only cuz of the increased volume the separate pipes can flow, but that the X or H intersections they make at some point down the line "equalize" the presures coming from each header collectors. With that yellow section after the Y section those presures would be equalised by that point....
But there is still the issue of the tons of track cars that have their exhaust running right out of either header into the atmosphere, and I would assume that they're doin it that way cuz it works and more than likely know more than me.
