Also,

If it's not one of the three prongs that go bad, you can also just rotate the gear 180 degrees; the motor only utilizes about 1/2 of the gear, so if you realign the gear to the opposite half, it should work like new. I did it to both headlights on my 95 and 96 Firebirds = 4 headlights total that it worked on. Total cost = $2 or $3 for epoxy to reglue the motor casing back together.
