Are you sure the motor is actually running that hot? Or is it just the guage/sensor? For the coolant to go from 50ish degrees to 260 degrees in 4 minutes of actual driving time (with airflow over the radiator) means there is an issue with the cooling system. Is the thermostat working properly?
