they are legal to have but not legal to use in certain states. cops can't confiscate them just because you have one, they have to prove you were using it. |
neg. my bro had one on the floor of his passenger side in his truck, got pulled over passing through VA for speeding, and the cop took the detector saying they're illegal just to have in the state. my bro was chartged 350$ to get it back.
