I know you want to black out your engine but that's the best place to add a little color, not much, just a little. Â*I'd black out your block and heads. Â*Powdercoat your valve covers red to match the car and maybe powdercoat your intake an almost chrome color like mine? Â*Depending on your preference you could also get a red MSD cap and maybe wires. Â*Keep it simple, yet tasteful.

Agreed. I have a black engine bay in my '88 SS, and the block/heads/accessories are also black. The TPI, valve covers, and headers are all coated "Bright Aluminum" by Airborn up in CT.
Note: Since the pic was taken, my AIR pump and hoses are now !, and I will be installing some silver powdercoated hood hinges shortly.
