Cause the subframes are weak as ****. Any torquing flexes them. My 86Z had the stress cracks and I had the low output LG4 305. I couldn't beat a hyundai scoupe with that car even with the 3.73's. But the cracks were there.

SFCs are a must, especially with the t-tops.
