He can't do that unless he wants to make 1 run before blowing the head gasket. Unlike Lt_'s the stock gen1 sbc has belt driven water pumps. The serpentine belt in the later year 3rd gens make it even harder to customize because everything is using 1 belt. I've yet to find a good way of going to an electric water pump and keeping the serp belt
