We scrap most of it off after each warmup session or race, but last week was the first week his mom brought sponges to the track. We also have a spray that we coat the body with that helps keep the mud from sticking. Most of the cars run at least right side wheel covers, some run all 4. Very little gets in the left sides though. (And actually there are wheel covers in at least 4 of those pics )
