If you wanna run the crap out of a classic car, don't do it to a $100K original musclecar, do it to a $10K 6 cyl clone that somebody stuffed a big block into. It's the same feeling behind the wheel and you'll still have money to put gas in it. Some cars have very few original examples surviving so why even think of beating it up for no reason! If you happen to own an original musclecar that you paid $5K for 20 years ago, then go ahead and beat on it. There are several original owner 1969 Yenko Camaros out there who still race them. But to them, the car is only worth what they paid back in 69 because they have no intention of ever selling them.
