You're a fool if you rip out the TPI. Just put the 350 long block in place of the 305, and beef up your fuel injection components. Start with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and an underhood, liquid filled pressure guage. I dropped a reman 350 into my 87 TA 5-speed. It was balls to the walls. Keep the TPI.
