tire height is more for roll out when bracket racing. front tires don't really do much either way for et as far as height goes.
i woudl suggest getting some real skinnies though. dropping some weight is always a good plan, unsprung from the front of the car is super nice, and the narrower tread would create less rolling resistance down track
