Gotta love the 400's Â*
[/feeling stupid for not checking page two of the index]

so when i ordered the parts to complete the carb rebuild i found a machine shop. Â*right up the road from my house. Â*see, it used to be a marine place, then a truck accessory place (caps and tonneau covers) and now it's a full on auto shop (the old school kind) with stuff on the shelves and machine shop in the back. one of the reasons i never paid it any mind was the truck stuff - mostly pep boyz bling bling section with neon and chrome chain steering wheels and stuff.

now, if the lawyer was correct and the case settles in january, february like he said, i could have the 406 ready to go into the '87 as early as may... (i'm slightly ecstatic) and i might even be able to save some money on internals and what-not, instead of ordering them straight out of a catalog. and i am volunteering to do stupid stuff like torque the bolts and whatever to try and save some money on the labor. i've finally come to terms that the motor will not get built if it continues to sit on the engine stand in my office... [sheepish grin]

so, tim, did the motor fire yet?
