if you are looking to upgrade i think you are on the right track planning for the 3/4's. i would suggest spending money on a crate motor if you want more power. for the cost of buying heads, having them cleaned up, buying a cam kit, and buying/matching your intake to the heads and cam you will be with in the price range of a GMPP crate motor with a 3yr warranty
