Did you read the whole thread? Â*QQ plates have been discussed above and they won't work for him because he wants to drive the car to work. Â*Also, a 1972 Camaro with a 4 speed will have a smog pump so it doesn't predate emission's equipment so that will be the toughest part about passing. Â*They won't be able to tell if it's working or not so you could put a dummy setup on the car just to pass inspection and then remove it for 2 years until it was time to be inspected again.
i thought 72 jsut had the canister and cali + high altitude cars were the only ones with a pump until the 74 model year. do i have my dates wrong?
a private shop will likely "forget" to look for the pump, so that is always an option
