i am sure we can keep the buy-in affordable. it makes for a cleaner game. the chips make you forget you are playing with real money. it also makes it impossible to infuse your stack with reserve without anyone knowing...
if we play .25/.50 progressive, i could probably support 6 players with my chips. more players than that would require another set of chips, or a larger set to start with. for instance, i've got 120 white, 60 red and 60 black chips. $20 each player for 6 people: 20 white, .25, $5; 10 red, .50, $5; 10 black, 1.00, $10. if we had more people than 6 show up, perhaps we could split to two tables if someone else brings a similar set. these are quality chips, not bicycle brand. obviously that would be unnecessary if someone has a larger set of chips.
does anyone have a felt table? an easily transportable one would be ideal. also, tables and chairs are going to be needed, unless we play at a location that has them already.
