just cancelled my nextel...
anyone else have/had nextel? Ever since they merged(or whatever) with Sprint, the service and reception seems to have went downhill. Here in northern NJ, pretty near to NYC, my friends and I have crap for signal most of the time. My friends called since august to have it taken car of of nextel hasnt made good on anything they said so far. Today i finally had enough. My cell has been dead for the past 3 weeks so i figured what the hell am i paying for, i just got the phone in late july so if i cancelled now id have to pay a $200 fee, but hell, why would i pay 60 a month till july just to cancel it fee free. So i called up and told them it was junk, lol. They tried telling me well we can have the reception problem checked out and fixed. I said no and to just turn off my phone. Itll be shut off on Dec 25th at the end of my billing cycle(i guess my xmas present) All this time i've still had my At&T cell which get full service everywhere. I kept that when i got my nextel just in case and i'm glad i did. When AT&T wireless was taken over by cingular service became excellent. And i pay 29.99 for the same minutes and extras nextel was costing me 59.99. Only problem is that if i want a new AT&T phone, i have to sign a new contract with cingular and pay more. at least i have a back up old AT&T phone that works after this current one dies. oh well cell phones all suck sometimes...now later today i gotta cancel my one home phone line and long distance and just keep one home line for my computer.
