Zeta was never shevled, just put to the side as the GMT900's moved foward to give GM a boost in profit. Zeta was redesigned in a way to fit GM North American parameters and is now being fast tracked to the front line. Rumor has it that GM is pushing the Zeta chassis as fast as they can, even delaying the next generation Epsilon cars, one being the 2008 Chevy Malibu which was said to blow the doors off the Accord, Camry, and anything else. Thoes that had seen the concept were amazed and delighted that this was a Malibu. It was a bright light, but GM has pushed it to the side, and Malibu and G6 will ride on Epsilon I till 2010. Saturn Aura will have to put up a good fight till then.
To thoes saying "who gives a **** about the Malibu?", everyone does. Epsilon II will bring a lot for GM, especialy more main streem AWD cars. It will be more flexable then todays Epsilon, and will replace some of the W body cars. I kinda saw this coming, that 2 big chassis, Zeta and EPII couldnt be brought to the table at the same time. Upsetting to say the least. Now when the Malibu does hit the streets in 2010, it will already be dated and mid pack, already needing an upgrade.
As for possiblity or "slam dunk" chance of a Camaro, Ill put it this way. Michael Jordan has the ball, and hes flying down the court, and Kasey is the only one to stop him.
