Mods before bods. Seriously, a car that has serious performance but not so great of paint, is way better than a pretty car that's gonna get scratched up while you try to make engine improvements after you paid a bunch of money to have it look that nice. Besides, if it's not a looker, at least it can be a sleeper. Of course, both the paint and performance together are great for the total package appeal, but realistically, it's usually best to put the money towards making sure it runs like a champ
continuously first. And if you really do think after a paint job that is as expensive as the one you're getting, that it's gonna get scratched when you install a cam, for the love of god, install the cam with the yucky paint. or at least protect the new paint with a tarp or something. Sorry, i'm done my rant. that's just two cents and the way I see it, but it's your car, and your money, not mine. Good luck.
