With 505 horsepower, the Corvette Z06 is the fastest car produced by Chevrolet and GM. Because of the unique restrictor plate rule at Daytona, which limits airflow into the cars’ engines to keep track speeds below 200 mph, the Corvette Z06 actually makes more horsepower than the cars competing in the Daytona 500 – a first for a pace car.
