On an 84 I would think everything is mechanical still so you shouldn't have any problems. I don't think the wipers, lights or radio hook to it in anyway but the electric fan (Are you sure it is electric on an 84?) is probably going to be hooked to the PCM so plan on having to work that issue when you get there. I know on the newer 3rd gens it hooks to the PCM and is controlled by the PCM but I am not 100% sure on an 84 because it is the older computer. If you pull the ECm then you definately won't need an O2 sensor. Not sure on the canister controls for you.
