I just removed the ecm, all related wiring, and the smog stuff.... really simple... should take only a few hours. unplug the ecm wire harness at the ecm, pull out through hole in fender then just have your way at un-plugging all the crap. wipers, radio, etc have nothing to do with that. your speedo should be mechanical so thats a no-brainer. tach doesn't run off the ecm so thats ok. as far as fan control goes I wired up a temp. switch to a relay that turns on the fan when the temps get hot, only runs when the car ign. is on. i don't remember about the temp sender but i removed the stock cluster and have a mechanical water temp and oil pressure gauge. oh your fuel level gauge will still work too.
