for inspection in NJ he exhaust has to come out from under the vehicle. it can exit the vehicle anywhere past the passenger compartment doors.
so if you altered teh system to have the pipes come out in front of the rear tires you would be good, but with the pipes ending under teh car they can't do the sniffere and will automoatically fail you.
