Ok so i found out all the information and a few of you guys are correct.
Ok i met with the guy and showed him some pictures of a Camaro with the TSP X-pipe with dumps before the axle and ect.
He said since mine is a 02 It would only get the OBD (On Board Diagnostics) test, no need to put sniffer probe in tailpipe, BUT State Law says tailpipe must end after the last usable window,
so on a 2002 Camaro it would have to be at the very least behind the rear axle facing outward away from the car not down. People get away with it on Pickup trucks because the last usable window is still ahead of the rear axle, and it still has to protrude away from the vehicle.
I also showed him the idea of dumping them before the back tires and he said it would fail also because it is to close the windows
He also said he was suprised i passed inspection last May with my current set-up Edelbrock shortys,Slp Y-pipe and LM cat-back he said it was very Loud and has seen quieter cars fail just for noise alone. And he said he would bet me $ it would probably fail the next time i go for inspection with that set-up
He also told me they were told by the head of his station to start cracking down on Loud cars, Performance moded cars ect..
He also told me that is totally up to the inspector to fail me or not, so if their having a bad day, had a fight with their husband or wife or just hate sports cars or Camaro's they could fail me.
Haha so now this wonderful state of ours gives me another reason to hate it.
He also recommended to me when i put the new system on, to make sure i place the new cats within a Inch or so of the stock locations so that way visually it will look like it is stock he said it might help in the long run.
So i guess i am just going to Install my QTP Headers and have a 3 inch custom fabbed hi-flow catted y-pipe done by Mufflex then run it into my cat back.
Wow guys this spring is going to be awesome for me.The Mailman just dropped off my package I ordered from GM Performance division i just got my LS-1 to LS-6 Conversion package LS-6 heads, cam, gaskets hardware 405 Horse hehe
