i don't know that it can be done yet. the junkyards can subscribe to a service that links all of their inventories together, so if a customer comes in looking for a hood and a driver's side mirror for a '94 ranger if someone in the network has those parts they will show up. then it's just a matter of getting in touch with that particular yard and making sure the parts exist, taking a deposit and getting the parts shipped to their yard or the customer (usually an auto body shop).
but you, as an individual, being able to browse inventories? not likely. there's lots of money in parts, and i don't think they want people off the street just snooping through the parts. i could be wrong.
