They used the "I" interchanged with "1" a lot on stampings. So the engine date would be 10/31 and the code would be XI. The XI code is for a 350/2 bbl motor from a truck, 215hp so nothing real special. Is it a 4 bolt main block? Some guys might be interested in it for the 386 casting # and then go and deck the block and restamp it.
