My first job was with the Roxbury TWP DPW when I was 16... I was an assistant supervisor / laborer at our township recycling center ... we would have people coming in to do community service to help the residents empty their cars out of recycling for hour-write-offs . It was big money to me at that age, i was making $7.50/hr. I worked every weekend there since March 2001 (I was 16) until I was hired as a full-time temporary in June 2003 to replace someone that was out on injury for our sanitation department. Ive been there ever since... but Im full time now which means I get my $10,000+ in health/dental/ins benefits and make $19.00/hr
Within the next two years I should be a Driver which makes about $23.00/hr . BTW, Im 21. And since I bought all that part-time/full-time-temp time back into my pension, I can retire at 41
Other than that, I worked at a garden shop down the road for me which sucked cuz i worked alot of hours for only $7.00/hr. That only lasted for about 2 months. Ive really only held 2 jobs, and basically still with my first.
