blowing an engine may seem cool, but it sucks when you realize your out of a car and now need to spend even more $. oh well.

You are still young, theres no rush to learn everything in one winter. When i was 15-16 i was into bicycles, i didnt care about cars. i was into freestyle and bmx. then 8 months before i turned 17, i got my 1st car, a '73 dodge coronet, which i actually wanted then, what did i know. I coudlnt even tell if it was a 2 or 4 Bbl carb, but over time i learned more and more. and a month after i turned 17, i got my 88 Trans am GTA. And i continued to learn. While i was in HS i did very few things on the car myself. Only towards the end of my senior year i really started getting involved with working on cars. A lot of people around here have older brothers or fathers that helped them out and got them into the hobby, but im one of the few that didnt have any parental persuasion. i did everything on my own from day one. My parents know nothing about cars. Hell, even my GF is starting to know alot about cars. When i first met her she liked cars but knew little, now shes got the Monte and is already making plans for heads cam and a supercharger, all of which she will help install. My point is...relax, ok, so maybe it wont get done for dyno day, but you time otherwise.
