Also, I thought the QQ plates only allow you to drive if you're going to a car show whereas the collector registration only limits your yearly mileage. As far as the insurance goes, I think I got my Collector registration before I had Hagerty insurance, so no issues there. As long as the car has a valid insurance card, you should be OK. They can't tell from the card whether it's a collector policy or standard anyway. For QQ'd cars, I know they're only supposed to be used for shows and stuff, but I know one guy that's been daily-driving a primered '63 Galaxie for at least 15 years with QQs on it. I guess it depends on where you drive and who you know in those towns.
