Nice looking truck but tehy could be in trouble with teh new US mpg requirements tehy just released. The GMT800, which the current pick ups are built off of, are not certified to take the LS2. The GMT360, a totaly different chassis which sits under the Tblazer, Envoy, Assender, Saab 9-7x, and the SSR is certified to handle it after the SSR got the upgrade last year.
You can get a 5.3 HO motor making 310 in a short bed, standard cab, 17 inch wheels..because I saw it and my jaw dropped. Price was around 22k too. Upgraded monotube suspension, G80 rear...lots of goodies.
You can also get the Silvy SS with the Vortec Max 345hp 6.0 motor in 2wd, but only in extended cab, long bed form.
Anyway, the new GMT900 trucks are rated for the 6.2 400hp engine that can only be found, right now, in the 2007 Caddy Escalade. There is also a posibility of the LS2 finding its way in a 2wd truck and there Mark Ruess who said that the next gen Silvy SS will be 2wd only.
