Cool facts! I recently saw a show about those bikes and the peole that drove them. They had some pretty big "man parts" to ride those things with nothing more then a leather helmet!

Your probably right, I really don't know how long the springs were around for car engines, I only recently starting hearing about the Beehive/Conical springs as an alternative to having to machine the heads to accept springs that can handle over 550 lift on the LT1 heads.
