Scion is just a way to bring young people into Toyota showrooms, but to say that Toyota is not a threat is rather silly. Toyota wants #1, and no other company in any other segment of production and manufacturing wants #1 worse then Toyota. They are lean, they are rich, and they have the ability to change to the marketplace in 12 months. Toyota is reaching into the American family and telling them that Toyota IS American. Toyota trucks and cars in NASCAR, as well as the same vehicles produced in America, commercials that tell you that buying Toyota is good for America. Things like this is just the surface. They are ready to pounce this year.
