Simple.
Go to HS and finish up with a formal education there.
You dont need to go to a votech school or anything like that to work on your own car. Sure, it helps but unless you plan to make that your profession when you get older, then you dont really need to do that. Go to HS, and work on your car at your own speed. You have 3 years to learn anything you want to know before you drive that car. I didnt go to a votech school, and I know several people that never went to a votech school, and they can work on thier cars pretty easily.
If after you go to HS and you realize that you want to be a mechanic, then you can go to a community college and get into an automotive training course there. If not, you can go to a 4 year college, get a degree in something, and go out into the business world, while still having your car hobby.
