We used to play ******* and up the river down the river but that was like 20 years ago!
But we played more dice games than card games. Mexican was the big game back in the 30's when I was in college. We also made up a modified quarters game where someone could take one of the dice from Mexican and toss it in the shot glass which became a challenge to whoever was shooting quarters. Whoever won got to roll the die and the loser had to drink that much. We also used to play depth charge (the glass floating in a pitcher of beer and whoever sank it had to pound), chandeliers (everyone had the same size glass full of beer in a circle and the center was a glass full of beer, each person took turns shooting a quarter and if it went in your glass you had to drink it and it if it went in the middle glass it was a race to pound your beer. Loser had to pound another beer).
