Everyone complains about LT1s being tough to work on, but the LS1 is no picnic either just by how it's crammed under the hood. When I was changing the lid on my car, just removing the MAF my back was killing me. And backyard things that you should be able to do on any car, like changing spark plugs, I can't imagine the work involved just to get at them. You'd either have to remove a lot crap, or take the engine out.
