that is a good cam for a mild/stock engine. i woudl sugest putting up the cash for the complete kit. for about $300 you get everything you need in one box from comp cams

LT1 cam would be a no go. pre-86 flat tappet block. no provisions for roller lifters like the LT1 cam would require. stock LT1 cam is a great mod for anyone with a 305 roller motor, excellant choice for a tbi motor
