I had about $1500 at that point. I had already been delivering newspapers for 4 years, and at 16 I started waiting tables at a local steakhouse (Pete's on N Olden) for $3.00/hr + tips. I spent that $1500 and more on my first car and repairs for it, and I only had it a year, and sold it for $150.
