The car was worthless, there was no future. GM started to invest a lot more in Hydrogen fuel Cells, which BTW they just lauched 100 Hydrogen Powerd Equinox's to the public in Cali for daily driving.
GM continues to be on the cutting edge of Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology, and will introduce a Two-Mode Hyrbid system, leap-frogging the Toyota and Honda system's. This will be used on vehicles that it will actualy mean something, like on SUV's, not econoboxes that already get better then average gas milage.
To make a 140hp 4cyl Corolla go from 34mph to 45mpg aint no big shake.
To make a 350hp V8 Tahoe go from 22 to 34mpg, NOW thats movement.
Ethanol is possible, and works in Brazil very well. Reducing dependancy on foreign oil is what is needed, therefor we no longer have to rely on OPEC to keep us going. 3rd world nations can do it, why cant America?
Japan is also working hard and fast for an Ethanol system for its country.
