his championship hopes are basically gone now. while fighting for a position very casual racing contact cut down his left rear tire. his is now the last car on the lead lap and his chances of getting around the entire field are slim. just to get back to 10th to finish in the points would be an accomplishment now.
he has been my faorite driver for years. not because of his wins, but because of his passion for the sport. when he finishes on the podium or wins a race or even in a casual interview you can see that he still truely loves it.
anyone who has won so many times that says one of his favorite racing memories ever was finishing second when his brother ralf got the first win of his F1 career is a class act in my book.
