Yep, this is true. I've got it, and before I got the USB cable I bought a couple ringtones...now I make my own. Just need an mp3 editing program (I use soundforge) and something to upload...I use bitpim for that, don't know if LGs own program would work or not. You can also use it like an ipod if you get a minisd card, playing mp3s through the speaker or the headset.

bit pim worked once for me, now it keeps on giving me errors about the ports not being open or some ****, ive tried to reinstall it but that didnt help any
i had 3 ringtones on my old phone that i want to get off but bit pim is being an ass
