Actually, I believe in NJ if you have just 2 pts on your license the insurance companies aren't suppose to increase your rates, kinda like a one time forgiveness as long as you don't get another ticket in 2-3 years they won't increase, but I'd still go and fight the ticket.

Alot of times the Attorney for the Court will reduce it to a non moving violation and you pay a large fine. The courts don't give a **** about your insurance they want your $$$. Try for obstructing traffic or something. Talk to them and see what they offer. Tell him your goal is to keep your license clean and you are willing to pay a fine for a lesser charge.
