85-90 is correct

to tell apart the years(if stock)..
85, no 3rd brake light
86 brake light on top of hatch
87 3rd brake light on spoiler, Iroc Z decal towards front of door
88 3rd brake light on spoiler, Iroc Z decal towards rear of door, 16" iroc wheels got 2 lines.
89 Rear seat now got shoulder seat belts
90 got revised interior(dash mainly)

(decals could get factory delete option however, and exact detail of striping around bottom of the car vaierd over some years)

As for 3rd gen Z28s, they we 82-87 and 91-92.
