I'm well aware of who AAM is thanks
And i have seen an Old Gm gear box with American Axle on it
But i know Motive is the supplier now

You may be right about the backlash requirements i don't know

But the Bore coating with the standard Motive gears needing a break in Vs the GM Motive gears not having the bore coating and not requiring a break in is 100% correct.
The difference between GM Motives and Motives is the Gm Motives Cost 20 bucks more because of that fact..
Same as with the part #'s for the gears are Motive part numbers
A set of 3:73 Gm gears will be MGM75373 which stands for Motive GM 7.5 rear 3:73 gears.. then you would have the Gm part# to
And the standard Motive gears would be MOT75373
I have 2 friends of mine that work at the Corvette Paramedic's up in Trenton..
I get a discount on gears through them and those are what they supply and they only use GM gears
