Im sorry I did not realize you "were well aware of who AAM was" my ESP comes in a little fuzzy at times. I wasnt looking to offend anyone I was just giving as much information as I know incase others would like to learn a bit. I thought that was the point of these blogs. I do not have first hand experiance cutting or selling gears for either company so obvioulsy nothing I say is law but when I worked for GM some time ago whenever we got in a box of ring and pinion sets they were in GM brown boxes and stamped with the AAM logo like your saying, maybe in the last 8-10 years motive got the contract through AAM to manufacture their gears I dont know and I said it could be possible. But what you say about the boring of pinion gears that i did not know, thats interesting and news to me. good info.
