Have your radio turned off. Ask Instructor to put on seatbelt. Check your mirrors. Wait to be told you may start. Do not miss the first stop sign. You can go as slow as you want to. Watch out for the yield sign, look both ways and slow down, stop completely only if necessary like for another car coming on the course. If it's raining out when you take your test make sure to put on the headlights along with your wipers. Go as early as possible (they are less cranky then)
NJ givess 4 tries for parallel parking. When you do your straight back up, make sure to put your left hand at the top of the wheel and your right arm across the back-top of the passenger seat. Otherwise during the course hands must be on Ten and Two. They also look to see that you are using hand-over-hand steering. Do not palm any turns, and do notlet the wheel slide through your hands. You must show complete control over the wheel at all times.
And, RELAX. Nervousness will screw you up.
